PREZI

Since I am at some point or other, intend on being a Reading Specialist, I thought this presentation would be the most informative and the easiest to accomplish.  Well, it was and wasn't.  It must be me because I'm beginning to find myself in very uncomfortable situations of late, especially with the past two assignments.  But I know I will succeed, and I did (hopefully with a nod of approval).  But I will tell you, I definitely prefer Prezi to the old, standard Power Point way of presenting information or ideas.

This assignment corresponds with ISTE.NETS-T Standard 1d: Model collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual environments.  Prezi allows you to publish your work and to share it virtually for collaboration with others.

Standard 2c: Customize and personalize earning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources.  Imagine a student's delight in knowing that if he missed something during the presentation at school, he knows he has access to it from home--what a great way to incorporate a study tool!

Standard 5b and d: Exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others (share what you know!), contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.
