Digital Movies from Power Points

Well, believe it or not fellow classmates, this was by far my most frustrating assignment yet.  Everything that could go wrong -- did.  But I finally found a working headset with a functioning microphone then it was pretty much smooth sailing from there.

So my little contribution to the world is a simple craft project I'm planning on doing this spring.  I love to garden and I love to collect bottles of all sizes and colors.  So watch my tutorial on how to create beautiful planters using those dull clay pots!  I really love the idea of using PhotoStory in the classroom.  Imagine what you can do with it--provide step-by-step instructions for a science lab assignment, create a fun way to incorporate a lesson or concept, or use it to record a class project.  It's a great tool for producing anything in sequential order, something that student's sometimes have difficulty in accomplishing.

Each of the ISTE.NETS-T Standards are included in this assignment.  Standard 1 by engaging students in exploring real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources; Standard 2 by customizing and personalizing learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources; Standard 3 by demonstrating fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations; Standard 4 by addressing the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources; and Standard 5 by exhibiting leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others.
